Frankfurt Airport (FRA) or Hannover Airport (HAJ) are your direct links to international destinations. The train station in Frankfurt is to be found at the AIRail Terminal. The tram line (S9) or the regional train (RB) takes you to Frankfurt’s main railway station, from which a high-speed train (ICE) to Braunschweig departs every hour. After about 3 hours you will arrive in Braunschweig.
If you arrive at Hannover Airport, you can also easily travel from the airport to Braunschweig by public transport with regular train connections. The tram line (S5) takes you from the airport to Hannover’s main railway station. Every hour the high-speed train (IC) departs from Hannover and takes about 30 minutes to get to Braunschweig.
Braunschweig is located at the A 2 motorway between Hannover in the west and Magdeburg in the east. The A 391 west tangent linking the A 39 and A 2 provides access to Braunschweig city centre within minutes. The A 39 runs from Wolfsburg via Braunschweig to Salzgitter and the A 7.

The most convenient local transport between railway station, hotels, conference and down town is possible with public transportation by bus or tram. Railway station (»Braunschweig Hbf«) to Conference location: BUS 419 (Direction: Braunschweig Hbf) to »Pockelstraße«. The bus leaves every 10 minutes between 8:00 and 18:00; 11 minute ride + 5 minute walk. Tickets may be purchased in the bus from the conductor; single trip: 2,50 EUR, multi-trip ticket (10 rides): 21 EUR.
